Анотація

Актуальність. На теперішній час, в умовах децентралізації, значна увага приділяється вивченню історичного досвіду та традицій розвитку фізкультурно-спортивного руху в регіонах України. Аналіз науково-методичної літератури свідчить що такі дослідження надають змогу не тільки розширити теоретичні знання з історії фізкультурно-спортивного руху в Україні, а й визначити пріоритетні види спорту при розробці програм розвитку фізичної культури і спорту.

Мета – вивчення історичного досвіду розвитку веслування академічного, як виду спорту на Катеринославщині наприкінці ХІХ – початку ХХ ст. та визначення головних чинників, які сприяли його подальшому розвитку.

Матеріал і методи. У ході проведеного було використано аналіз і узагальнення науково-методичної літератури, історико-логічний, хронологічний, описовий методи на основі вивчення періодичної, краєзнавчої літератури, архівних документів, фотоматеріалів та інших джерел.

Результати. У статті висвітлені передумови створення перших спортивних організацій «Катеринославського Товариства Веслувального Плавання в селищі Кам’янське» та «Товариства веслувального плавання у м. Катеринославі» та особливості організації їх роботи зі створення умов розвитку веслування академічного. Проведено аналіз досвіду роботи клубів з підготовки спортсменів, організації та проведення змагань. Висвітлена роль меценатів та громадських діячів Катеринославщини з підтримки роботи яхт-клубів.

Висновки. У зазначений період був накопичений історичний досвід та традиції розвитку академічного веслування на Катеринославщині. Визначені передумови виникнення веслування академічного, як виду спорту, традицій та досвід його розвитку на Катеринославщині наприкінці ХІХ – початку ХХ ст
